Would you like to become part of a growing company and work with converters in the megawatt class? PowerCon's "Commissioning and Service Department" is currently looking for more Commissioning Engineers to help support the continued growth.

Commissioning Engineer
PowerCon develops and produces a number of different electrical converter solutions within shore power systems for the world's ports. At the same time, we develop converter systems that are used by the wind turbine industry e.g. nacelle test, slip test, production test, and development test. Our shore power plant ranges from 1MVA up to 50MVA, which is Europe's largest.

Qualifications

You are an electrical installer, power engineer, machinist, etc. Eq. and has switching experience with medium voltage. You must be used to dealing with customers. Regardless of your background, it is essential that you have experience with commissioning and commissioning. At the same time, it will be an advantage if you have the following:

  • Over 3 years of experience within medium voltage switchgear and transformers.
  • Knowledge of converter and generator technology
  • Knowledge of generator regulation - including droop regulation and synchronization
  • Knowledge of testing according to commissioning.
  • Knowledge of web interface and remote support
  • Knowledge of PLC hardware and IO testing
  • Good communication skills, including language skills in Danish and English, both written and spoken
  • Valid driving license for car

Responsibilities

As a Commissioning Engineer, you will be part of PowerCon's commissioning and service team, where you will, among other things, be responsible for the commissioning and commissioning of new on-site onshore power plants (OPS Onshore Power Systems).

You will also act as operations manager of the shore power plant during the commissioning call and first call of the ship. You will of course be properly dressed for the task by following one of our skilled and experienced engineers during a training period. As part of the commissioning work, you are expected to:

  • Participate in project meetings.
  • Coordinate and perform tasks on-site
  • Identify deviations and find solutions.
  • Handle support and warranty of running systems.

About you

You are dedicated to your work, self-driven, quality-conscious, solution-oriented, and willing to take responsibility and seek new knowledge. You must want to travel on different days, where no two days are the same. At the same time, you must also want to experience the world and be prepared to act as PowerCon's ambassador out in the world. In connection with the work, travel activity of around 100 days per year is expected.
